Overview
I enhanced the design of a customizable dashboard to inform better oil drilling decisions. As a design associate, I conducted the stakeholder interview, enhanced the information architecture, designed the interactions, and also helped with project planning.
Users are inable to make good-informed decisions with overwhelming drilling data, causing unsatisfying drilling performance.
There are two types of users that are using the dashboard and both needs should be taken into account.
The final design showcases how the key scenarios can be achieved with the enhanced dashboard.
Provide flexibility
Edit groups via add, reorder, and remove for better control.
Provide data insights
View data changes over time with trend lines, knowing how drilling progresses.
